What LocalRank is
LocalRank is an independent Singapore discovery platform. We research categories properly, publish comparisons and best-of guides that show their reasoning, and maintain a structured database of the businesses behind them.
Today that means 4 published comparisons, 26 businesses and 283 live categories. Those are real counts from our database, not a marketing number.
How we work
Every comparison states what was assessed, how the criteria were weighted for that specific trade, and when each entry was last checked. Every article names its author and the editor who reviewed it.
We publish what we could not verify as readily as what we could. Read the full methodology.
How we make money
Advertising, clearly labelled sponsored placements, and business tools. That is the whole list.
We do not sell ranking positions. Not as an upgrade, not as a package, not quietly. The separation is built into our systems: sponsored placements and ranking entries are different records with no path between them, and the people who sell advertising do not have permission to edit a ranking. Our advertising policy sets out exactly what an advertiser can and cannot buy.
Who writes this
Named people, with profiles. Every byline on LocalRank belongs to a real member of our team. Meet the team.
We use AI tools for research organisation, classification and duplicate detection. AI does not originate facts, prices, quotes, reviews or sources on LocalRank, and nothing reaches publication without a human author and editor on the record.
